Initiating a legal case often comes with an upfront cost, commonly referred to as a retainer. These costs can vary – some firms set a fixed amount while others determine the retainer based on the specifics of your case.
At Modern Family Law the standard retainer is 10 times the responsible attorney’s hourly rate. If an attorney charges $250 per hour, the retainer would be $2,500, billed upfront. The SimpleStart program offers you the possibility of reducing or removing this upfront cost.
