Biography
Joshua Ritter has been practicing law in Colorado since 2005. He began his career as a Deputy District Attorney, prosecuting crimes ranging from minor traffic offenses to first-degree murder, and has appeared before every level of court in the State of Colorado: from Municipal Court to the Colorado Supreme Court.
Joshua turned his focus to family law after experiencing his own divorce and drawing inspiration from the experiences in his life to help others who are going through their own divorce or other challenging transitions in family life. Joshua is dedicated to providing his clients with the highest caliber of legal advice, representation, and advocacy to help them succeed in beginning a new chapter in their lives.

Joshua Ritter earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, from the University of Colorado, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Joshua also earned his law degree from the University of Colorado.
During his time at CU Law, Joshua developed a passion for the courtroom, completing over a dozen trials as a student attorney extern at the Boulder District Attorney’s Office while also representing family law clients through the CU Legal Aid program.
Joshua Ritter is a member of the Colorado and Larimer County Bar Associations.
As a member of the 8th Judicial District Wellness Court Team, Joshua Ritter was a joint recipient of the Colorado State Judicial Department’s 2017 Judicial Excellence Team Award.
