Biography
Jasmine Bhatt resides in Austin and is the Managing Attorney for Modern Family Law in Austin. Jasmine grew up in New Jersey and moved to Texas during college. Since moving to Texas, Jasmine has practiced in Dallas, Houston, and Austin.
Prior to joining Modern Family Law, Jasmine provided family law services for various non-profit organizations throughout the state for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Understanding the complexities of various dynamics allows Jasmine to apply her legal knowledge to obtain safe, effective, and trauma-informed results for clients seeking a resolution to their sensitive family law matters. Within her practice, Jasmine has represented clients whose family law matters intersected with both immigration and criminal law issues simultaneously and has utilized alternative dispute resolution methods along with litigation. She believes that each case should be assessed holistically to ensure a well-rounded outcome for her clients.
Jasmine graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Public Affairs and went on to get her Juris Doctorate at the University of Houston Law Center.
Jasmine is licensed to practice law in Texas, is a member of the state bar, and belongs to the Family Law Section of the State bar.
Jasmine volunteers for local domestic violence organizations and assists children with autism with their cognitive development.
