Janet loves to travel but will always return to Colorado to hike, discover out-of-the-way spots, and find new recipes. When she isn’t out and about, she is curled up with a good book and her cat and dog. She has an adult daughter.

Janet’s journey to becoming a paralegal was fueled by a desire to support others in navigating life’s most challenging moments. She understands the heart-wrenching emotions that accompany divorce and child custody battles – the profound sense of loss and the shifting landscapes of relationships. With nearly three decades of experience as a paralegal, Janet compassionately steers clients through the often-daunting legal labyrinth, illuminating the path forward. Her true reward is the moment a client’s fear gives way to the realization that everything is going to be okay.
Janet has a degree in paralegal studies from Arapahoe Community College. She continued those studies by earning and maintaining the Advanced Certified Paralegal in Family Law from NALA the Paralegal Association, and a Core Registered Paralegal certification from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.
For Janet, becoming a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional represents the pinnacle of her professional journey. She eagerly anticipates the new responsibilities this will add to her role as a paralegal – and more importantly, the enriched support she’ll be able to provide to those navigating life’s most challenging crossroads.
Janet loves the Colorado outdoors and is a volunteer with Friends of Red Rocks. She is passionate about helping others and volunteers with Metro Volunteer Lawyers and the legal clinic at Family Tree.
Janet is an active member of the paralegal community, having held several positions on the Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain Paralegal Association. She is also a former chair of the Colorado Bar Association Paralegal Committee.
