Biography
Jacquelyn’s journey into the legal profession began 35 years ago as a paralegal in her hometown of Houston, Texas. After experiencing her own family law issues and feeling like she was on a sinking ship, she made the decision to attend law school so that she could better serve those in similar situations.
Jacquelyn’s litigation experience is very diverse, having experience in all areas of litigation. Most notably, she has represented plaintiffs in toxic tort litigation, personal injury, commercial, breach of fiduciary duty and family law. Regardless of the type of litigation, she has always represented individuals as opposed to businesses.
In 2017, she devoted herself to primarily serving those going through divorce, custody issues and other family law issues. She knows what it’s like to have your world turned upside down and navigate through complicated issues and life changing decisions while dealing with what can be, for most, emotional turmoil.
Jacquelyn is passionate about our active-duty military, veterans, and children. Both her son and nephew followed her father’s example by enlisting in the United States Marines. Each served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is a co-founder of the Houston Marine Moms and Support Our Service Members d/b/a Tip of the Spear, certified by the Veterans Administration to represent veterans in obtaining their disability ratings and an active participant in other organizations supporting our veterans. She has come to understand the difficulties that our heroes face in all aspects of family law.
Jacquelyn is equally passionate about the Children’s Bill of Rights and assisting parents in understanding and ensuring that these rights are protected at all times.
