Biography
Alex began her legal career as a prosecutor in the 14th Judicial District of Colorado, where she honed her skills in litigation and gained a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of the legal system, handling cases from speeding tickets to homicides. While serving as a prosecutor for nearly ten years, Alex focused her efforts on providing a compassionate approach to helping victims while still emphasizing justice and fairness towards all parties in a case. She has tried over a hundred cases to a jury, most recently as a member of the 1st Judicial District’s Special Victims Unit, where her caseload consisted solely of the most serious crimes against children.
Driven by a desire to help individuals and families navigate challenging legal situations, Alex transitioned to family law to apply her skills to an area that requires a delicate touch and compassionate understanding. Alex strives to balance her experience with negotiation and litigation in a way that best honors the needs of each of her clients. In family law matters, Alex is committed to providing personalized and empathetic legal representation to clients facing a range of issues, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and domestic violence.
When not at work you can find Alex attempting to try all of the best restaurants in Colorado. She is thrilled about Michelin’s recent recognition of our food scene.
Alex loves animals of all shapes and sizes and is also an avid plant lady.
Alex also loves camping and hiking with her black lab, Huxley.

Alex also understands the emotional toll that legal proceedings can take on families and strives to guide clients through the process with sensitivity and care.
Alex believes in empowering clients with knowledge and fostering open communication. By maintaining transparent and honest dialogue, Alex ensures that clients are informed and actively involved in the decision-making process, ultimately cultivating a sense of trust and collaboration.
Alex attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she graduated magna cum laude with a double major in International Affairs and English. During college, she played on CU’s Club Women’s Lacrosse team.
After undergrad, Alex attended law school at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in 2015. She was a member of the Jessup International Appellate Moot Court team, where she competed against teams from around the world in oral advocacy.
Alex was recognized by the Steamboat Pilot’s Annual 20 Under 40 list for her dedication and service to the citizens of Routt County in 2018.
Alex is licensed to practice in Colorado. She is a member of several professional organizations including:
